What is integrated video production
You’ve heard the expression, “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does it make a sound?” At Blueforest Studios we ask, “If a video is amazing and no one sees it, does it really matter?!” Also, why did you make the video in the first place?
Here at Raleigh’s Blueforest Studios, we specialize in completely integrated video production. What’s that, you ask? Simply put, we’re experts at creating great videos and making sure your video gets seen online.
You’ll be hard pressed to find another video production company that can create a video from start to finish and optimize it online for you. We’ve developed a 27-point proven process called blueboost. It will increase views on YouTube and get your audience engaged with your video by liking, commenting, sharing, and subscribing.
When you are asked to explain why you want to invest in video production, answering “Just because” doesn’t cut it. We’re here to help you answer that question intelligently. You can talk about number of views, audience engagement, clickthroughs, and yes, even ROI!
To the left is an example of one of our clients who had a video online but it wasn’t getting viewed. When we updated his video with a more exciting message and then optimized it, we were able to increase his views by over 400% in under 3 months and the views continue to grow.
We like making people feel ways about stuff
Here’s a universal truth about communication: People generally forget the words they hear (or read), but they remember how they’ve been made to feel. Don’t believe me? Check out the video to the right to be convinced.
We use all the tools in our arsenal to get people feeling ways about your company. Whether it’s storytelling, hand drawn animation, music, helicopter footage, or shooting on 4K RED Camera, it all comes down to making people feel something about your company.
Here’s an example of how we captured a mood and emotion through hand drawn animation for a company that builds trade show exhibits:
Our super secret scientific magical mystery formula 3000
OK, so maybe it’s not so mysterious but it’s important. We start by asking the right questions. We spend so much time talking about how our product works, what it’s features are, how many employees we have and all that stuff no one really cares about and never get to the single most important question:
Why do you get up every morning and come to work at your company?
An important part of our secret formula is our team. Each of our team members actually has a super power. Don’t believe me? Click here for proof.
Meet the Team
Russ, also known as captain Rexford Russ Reynolds, started his career in the music industry booking and managing bands. He and his brother founded Osceola Recording Studios in Raleigh, which hosted a number of regional and national acts including Blues Traveler and Debra Gibson.
The music industry is very exciting but volatile and meanwhile in the business world poor quality audio persisted. Russ saw an opportunity to bring top quality audio to products ranging from on-hold messages to radio commercials. Soon Blueforest Studios was born.
Being the man behind the business, the team at Blueforest Studios loves to show their appreciation for Russ by pranking him on his birthday. Russ says he will not be showing up for work on his birthday this year… we’ll see.
When Russ is allowed out of the office he enjoys shredding on the guitar and offshore fishing.
Kathy Hughes LangfieldVP Operations
The honorable Kathy Hughes Langfield is the woman who keeps all of us at Blueforest Studios on track. She is a professional MBA with a background in business, nonprofit and environmental fields. She has worked for Blueforest Studios since its inception as Atlantic Creative a few years ago – no need to go into the double digits to make Kathy feel old. Kathy oversees finance, operations, and marketing and approves our company field trips!
Kathy is serving on both the Meredith College Board of Directors and the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Board of Advisors and is the Volunteer Manager for the Special Olympics Summer Games. Kathy also enjoys volunteering with the Eno River Association, Highland UMC, and NCGreenPower.
In her spare time Kathy loves bringing her dog, Rocket, to the office for play dates with the Blueforest crew. Kathy has also recently taken up a new instrument to contribute to the Blueforest Studios band: she is an aspiring boomwhacker player and a talented one at that!
Ammon EhrismanCreative Director
Ammon, also known as Ammon Robespierre Worthingon Maximillion Moneybags Ehrisman the Third, is a professional video producer. He has over 15 years of experience creating HD videos and graphics for businesses throughout the country.
Since joining Blueforest Studios, Ammon has produced many award-winning videos for clients ranging from the American Heart Association to Alex Patterson. Ammon loves a challenge and the beach so his latest challenge is how to convince every client they need a beach video.
In his spare time, you can find Ammon hanging out with his family and his band. He also puts in about 10 hours per week volunteering at his church. And since he is the 5th sibling in a family with 10 kids, he is an incurable attention hog. Maybe that’s why he is so driven to make great videos!

After graduation, Bryan started an internship with Blueforest Studios before joining the team full-time. In his free time, Bryan enjoys making music with his band, Supreme Fiction, performing stand up comedy, writing for The Moth Chase, a pop culture blog, and using Oxford commas.

Sean RiddleProject Manager
Sean Riddle, better known as Sleuth Sean Riddle “The Unriddler”, grew up in Orange County, California. He always had a passion for film, but decided he wanted to get into the industry after watching “Goodfellas” and being blown away by the way the story was told through voice over, freeze frames, music, and specific camera movement.
Sean moved to Los Angeles and started as a production assistant at Warner Bros. Due to his hard work he was offered different positions on several TV shows, including “The West Wing”.
Sean and his wife, Lindsay, moved back to Orange County to start a family away from the madness of LA and started working at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts. Sean recently moved to Raleigh with his wife, daughter, and two pugs – Matty & Dwight. Sean absolutely loves Raleigh and all it has to offer and is looking forward to continuing his career at Blueforest Studios.
