3 Ways We Make It Easier to Produce a Marketing Video

DOES IT REALLY HAVE TO BE THIS HARD?

For over 20 years, I’ve had the pleasure of producing marketing videos for marketing directors like you. When I was younger -- much younger -- and naive, I believed that most marketing directors would come prepared with a detailed strategy, a script, and maybe even some visual concepts. However, the reality is often different. Marketing directors are incredibly busy, and producing a video frequently feels like an added burden with a tight deadline.

Recognizing this, we’ve designed our video services to ease as much of that burden as possible. I imagine when considering a new video production vendor, you might worry about:

  • How much of my time will it take to provide enough information for this video?

  • How many questions will I need to answer to convey our vision?

  • Will the first draft be so off the mark that it requires extensive revisions?

Here are the top three ways we lift those burdens when you engage the Blueforest team for your video production:

1) LEAVE THE BRAINSTORMING TO US

Let’s face it, you’re likely to attend our first creative meeting without having spent much time thinking about:

  • Audience

  • Video Goal

  • Main Video Message

  • Metrics for Success

  • Project Timeline

Our process is designed to ask the right questions to quickly uncover these answers. Once you provide your initial input, we take it from there. Internally, we brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, create a creative brief, and consider aspects like music, color, tone, and personality. We even create scripts.

All this happens while you continue to focus on your other responsibilities.

We then return with one (or perhaps two or three) cohesive video ideas that align with your goals. You provide feedback, we make adjustments, and we’re ready to move forward.

2) STREAMLINED COMMUNICATION PROCESS

Engaging with a new vendor often introduces new points of contact, communication systems, and styles. Clear, consistent communication is essential to save time and ensure a smooth process.

For each project, you’ll have a dedicated project manager as your main point of contact. We provide a clear, written process at the outset. Whenever you have a question about your project status, you’ll know exactly who to reach out to for a prompt response.

Let your project manager handle the communication with our creatives, producers, editors, animators, and more.

3) FEEDBACK MADE SIMPLE

(as simple as saying “Yes” when your server asks if you have room for dessert)

Receiving the first draft of a video and realizing it needs extensive revisions can be disheartening. Or even worse-- the feeling that it might not be salvageable at all.

That’s why we put a lot of work to ensure that first draft is as close to the final product as possible, aligned with the creative brief. Our goal is for you to be pleasantly surprised when you see the first draft - not ‘existential dread.’

You will receive a Vimeo link to the first draft, allowing you to pause the video at any time and add your feedback. Each note is automatically stamped with the video timecode, making it straightforward for our editor to address your comments.

Your project manager will compile all the notes, coordinate with the post-production team, keep you updated on progress and timelines, and send you the revised drafts.
